Algarve, July 2026 - A new field mission within the THETIDA project - in partnership with the University of Algarve, and Centro Ciência Viva do Algarve - focused on monitoring the wreck of a B-24 Liberator (PB4Y-1), a US Navy aircraft from the Second World War and today a site of significant historical and environmental value.

On 17 February, sea trials at the Port of La Spezia successfully validated autonomous monitoring units connected through a private 5G network.
