Edgelab developed the USV_Cat, an autonomous catamaran designed for the INGV (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology). It features two high-resolution cameras for inspection and navigation, along with a side scan sonar for mapping the seabed in shallow waters. This vehicle will facilitate the morphological mapping, monitoring of micro and macro plastics, investigate biological habitat and evaluation of erosion, landslides, and finally the underwater volcanic exhalative activity.
